There are a lot of things I enjoy in life: dead animal flesh, a good Jason Bourne fight scene, making my two-year-old laugh, and filling my wife’s love tank by making the bed every morning. But nothing brings me as much joy as deadlifts. I love performing them, coaching them, dreaming about them, and writing about them. Not long ago I did a series on Instagram called “30 Days of Deadlifts.” Each day—over 30 days, though not always consecutive—I shared quick 60-second notes on programming, technique considerations, or general advice for the deadlift. It was a big hit. So popular that T-Nation.com asked to repurpose the whole thing for their site, and I agreed to expand on some points in exchange for tidying up my prose. Here’s Part II (Days 11–20). Boom, shaka-laka.
